Mo Jiancheng, male, was born in Long Xi, Gansu Province in 1942. He has served successively as president of Long Zhong Painting Academy, painter of Gansu Painting Academy and vice chairman of Gansu Art Association. Now he is the director of China Artists Association, the chairman of Gansu Artists Association, the vice president of Gansu Chinese Painters Association, the first-class national artist, and the full-time painter of Gansu Painting Academy. He has been engaged in the research and creation of Chinese painting for a long time. In September 2012, he was employed as a part-time professor in the School of Art, Lanzhou University.
