Shao Bingren, male, the Han nationality, born in December 1945 in Siping, Jilin Province, and was once vice-chairman of the Chinese Calligrapher Association. At the Sixth National Congress of the Chinese Calligrapher Association, which closed on December 29, 2010, he was appointed as a consultant of the Chinese Calligrapher Association and was honored as a calligrapher who made important contributions to the development of the calligraphy industry. He is currently deputy director of the Committee on Population, Resources and Environment of CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative), an invited researcher of the Chinese Calligraphy Department of the Chinese Academy of Art, and a professor of calligraphy at Xu Beihong College of Art, Renmin University of China. In April 2007, he was employed as a part-time professor in the College of Art, Lanzhou University.
