Kong Wei, female, Hui ethnic group, from Wubao, Shaanxi, member of CPC, director of Laboratory of Dance, Institute for Music Studies, teaching fellow, member of Gansu Dancers Association.

2002: She graduated from School of Dance, Northwest Minzu University, majoring in dance performance.

Teaching at the School of Art of Lanzhou University since 2002.

2012: Master Candidate at School of Dance, Northwest Minzu University.

Research field: folk art of northwest minorities

Courses offered: folk dance, shaping.

Performance:

2008: dancer and director in “Linking the Silk Road” Touring Performances in the Four Countries in Central Asia, sponsored by Office of Chinese Language Council International.

2009: leading dancer and director in “Flowers in May” National Undergraduates Art Show; the dance Glistening Buddhas won the honorable mention.

2012: dancer and director in “Confucius Institute Spring Festival Gale”, sponsored by Office of Chinese Language Council International.

Awards:

2007: musical Confessions of a Doll, directed by her, won the first prize in Musical Class;

Award for Excellence in Directing in the 1st Gansu “Red Plum Blossom Award” Campus Drama Festival.

2011: the third prize of directing in the “Flying to the Sky Cup” Dance Competition, organized by Gansu Provincial Department of Publicity, Gansu Provincial Department of Education and Gansu Dancers Association.

2012: won the second and third prize in the national competition of National Undergraduates Art Show, sponsored by Ministry of Education.
