Wang Lei, female, master of piano performance, member of Musician Association of Gansu Province, judge of assessment of students’ art level (B) in Lanzhou Municipality.

Work and education:

August, 2014 - September, 2016: visiting scholar in America at the invitation of professor Reid Alexander, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign;

Teaching assistant, offering undergraduate courses: piano course and piano skills;

Assisting in translating professor’s monograph “Piano Repertoire Guide Intermediate and Advance Literature”, and was highly praised by the college;

During vacation: taking class in The Juilliard School

March. 2005 - June, 2006: learnt piano in Shanghai Conservatory of Music, after professor Sheng Yiqi and associate professor Huang Hong;

2006: learnt piano from Fu Cong in Shanghai Conservatory of Music;

September, 2008 - March, 2009: learnt from professor Zhao Xiaosheng.

2000-2003: master in piano performance and education at Dunhuang College of Northwest Normal University, after professor Wang Ziliang and professor Wang Chaogang.

September, 2001- June, 2002: learnt piano at Central Conservatory of Music, after professor Chen Bigang;

1996-2000: bachelor of piano performance at School of Music and Dance, Northwest Minzu University, after professor Li Wei;

Teaching at the School of Art of Lanzhou University since2003.

In 2015, she obtained the certificate of Advanced English Paper Writing, issued by University of Illinois .

In 2012, she won “Excellent Guide Teacher Award” of piano in Gansu Division of the qualification trials of Super Dream National Youth Talent Competition.

In 2010, she won “Excellent Guide Teacher Award” in the 3rd "Haizhou Cup" Musical Instrument Competition in Campus in Gansu Province .

Awards got by her students:

In 2010, Wang Jie won the first prize of piano performance in the youth group of "Haizhou Cup" Musical Instrument Competition in Campus in Gansu Province.

In 2012, Ma Lisha won the first prize of piano performance in Gansu division of the qualification trials of Super Dream National Youth Talent Competition.

In 2012, Fu Yuqing won the second prize of piano performance in Gansu Division in the youth group of the final trials of the 2nd Activity of Performance and Evaluation of Chinese Young Art Talents.
