Ma Chao, male, Hui ethnic group, member of CPC, violin teacher at the School of Art of Lanzhou University, master of violin performance in the Department of Orchestra of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, member of the Lanzhou " Sanskrit Music" Quartet. He served as the chief violin player of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, the chief violin player of the Symphony Orchestra of Xi'an Conservatory of Music, and solo violin player of the ARIA Trio (established in 2012 by him with Wang Keju, the internationally renowned viola player, and Wan Xiang, a young cellist) and so on.

Performance Experiences:

In July 2016, he took part in the Special Concert for the 75th Anniversary of the CPC held by the School of Art of Lanzhou University;

In August 2016, he took part in the Special Concert for the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Long March held by Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government;

On October 31, 2015, he played the violin solo at the Concert for the 330th Anniversary of the Birth of Bach held in Xi'an Conservatory of Music;

On November 7, 2015, he took part in the Special "Three Music Talents" Concert held by Lanzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and Lanzhou Federation of Literature and Art;

In 2013, he participated on behalf of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation in the exchange performance of Grammy Music Festival in New York. He has ever cooperated with top domestic singers and performers for many times, including singers like Song Zuying, Yan Weiwen, Lv Jihong, Liao Changyong, Zhang Ye, and instrument performers like Shi Shucheng, Ning Feng, Song Fei, and so on;

In May 2010, under the leadership of Zhao Jiping, dean of Xi’an Conservatory of Music, he toured in Germany, France, Belgium and other countries in Europe for the first time and served as the second deputy violin player.

On October 10, 2009, he participated in the special performance of Mozart's opera Magic Flute (the first performance in China) in the series of concerts for the 60th anniversary of Xi’an Conservatory of Music, and served as the deputy master of the orchestra. He has held many personal solo violin recitals.

Personal Awards:

In 2012, he won the first prize of violin in the 3rd Shaanxi Instrumental Music Competition;

In November 2015, he won the second prize in the 1st Gansu Music and Dance Competition held by Gansu Grand Theater;

In 2016, he won the first prize in the 2nd Western Music Performance Competition in China;

In November 2015, he won the honorable mention in the Lecture Contest of Lanzhou University.
