Gan Yan, female, Han ethnic group, from Guang'an, Sichuan, a member of the Communist Party of China, master, serves as a lecturer in Environmental Art Design Research Office of Fine Arts and Design Institute.

From 2002 to 2006, she studied Industrial Design at Wuhan University of Science and Technology and received her bachelor's degree. From 2006 to 2008, she furthered her education at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and obtained her master's degree.

Since 2008, she has been working at Art Academy in Lanzhou University.
