Zhao Xia, female, Han ethnic group, from Jinchang, Gansu, member of the Communist Party of China, master, a member of the Gansu Artists Association, serves as a lecturer of the Basic Modeling Laboratory of the Institute of Fine Art and Design.

She obtained her bachelor's degree by learning in Oil Painting Major from the Academy of Fine Art and Design of Northwest Normal University from 1999 to 2003. From 2004 to 2007, she furthered her education in the same place and got her master's degree. She has been working at the Art Academy of Lanzhou University since 2008.

Exhibitions:

In June 2008, the oil painting “the Cottage at the Foot of North Mountain” was exhibited in “Wind from Dunhuang-- Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition” and was included in “Wind from Dunhuang-- Gansu Fine Arts Theory Collection, Art Sketch Collection" (Gansu People's Fine Arts Publishing House).

In July 2008, the oil painting “Red Space” was exhibited in “Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up and Meet the Olympics-- Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition”.

In December 2008, the oil painting “Scenery” was on display in the “2008 Gansu Sketch Painting Exhibition” organized by Gansu Artists Association.

On November 30, 2008, the oil painting "Sketch from Nature" was included in the 2008 Gansu Sketch Exhibition.

In August 2009, the oil painting "Transfer" was exhibited in the first Gansu Sports Art Exhibition— for the Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of People's Republic of China.

In September 2009, the oil painting "Wenchuan's Prayer Flags" was exhibited in  Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition— for the Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China.

In May 2009, the oil painting “the Person in Yellow T-Shirts” was shown in the Exhibition of Youth Art, Calligraphy and Photography in the 90th Anniversary of the May Fourth Movement in Gansu Province.

In October 2009, the oil painting "Scenery" was in the 2009 Gansu Sketch Painting Invitational Exhibition.

In May 2011, the oil painting "The Still Life with a Lantern" was exhibited in the 2011 Gansu Sketch Painting Exhibition.

In July 2011, the large-scale oil painting “Dawn in May” was on display in the Exhibition of Major Historical Revolutionary Subjects in Gansu Province.

In October 2011, the oil paintings “Xiao Lei and Tingting” was exhibited in the Gansu Youth Arts Exhibition.

In May 2012, the oil painting “A Quiet Afternoon” was displayed in the Gansu Fine Arts Exhibition for the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's Speech at the Yan'an Literature and Art Symposium.

In May 2012, the oil painting “A Piece of Red Cloth” was exhibited in Lanzhou Fine Arts Exhibition for the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's Speech at the Yan'an Literature and Art Symposium.

In May 2013, the oil painting “Village in the Sun” was exhibited in the Gansu Double-Connection Fine Arts Exhibition—Connecting Villages and Families.

In October 2013, the oil painting “Silent River Valley” was displayed in the Fine Arts Exhibition of 14 Cities and Prefectures in Gansu Province.
