Wei Wanyong, male, Han ethnic group, from Lanzhou, Gansu, a member of the Communist Party of China, master, serves as a lecturer of Visual Communication Research Office of the Institute of Fine Arts and Design. He is also a member of Gansu Artists Association.

From 1998 to 2002, he studied at the Graphic Design Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts and obtained his bachelor's degree. From 2007 to 2010, he also studied at the same University, majoring in Modern Design Art, after Professor Guo Xianlu and obtained his master's degree. Since 2010, he has worked in the Art Academy of Lanzhou University.

Research direction: visual communication design and multimedia design

Courses offered: “Layout Design”, “Mark Design”, “Package Design”, “Interactive Multimedia Design”, etc.

Research Projects:

In 2013, “the Transformation of Modern Design Language” funded by the “Young Teacher Promotion Program” of Lanzhou University.

Exhibitions:

In 2007, the work “the World of Images” won the Design Star Excellence Award.

In 2009, the work “Running Water” won the Excellence Award in the first National Art Exhibition for “Promoting Green Life and Building Ecological Civilization”.

In 2009, his poster design was exhibited in the Shanghai, Seoul and Taipei Design Exhibition.

In 2010, A Comparison to the Architectures in the Ming and Qing Dynasties was published in the Tangdu Journal (China’s Core Journal)
